Businesses that operate in China Town in London's West End.

The Chinese Association wanted a website that not only appealed to the tourist but more importantly represented the people that work and live in the area. The intention was to highlight different businesses each month and to have a Directory of all the Businesses and links to their own websites.

what we did

It was the brief to look intrinsically Chinese and so using their most fortunate colours in Chinese culture, Yellow and Red, was the obvious start. By using the lanterns we summed up what China Town means to most people and creates a lively and friendly feel. There's so much visual imagery to draw upon that we also included on the other pages , particularly Chinese drawings and symbology. The second concept shows a different layout using brushwork
